Companies Respond on Full Box Assignment for Vehicle Fire Endangering

Shortly after 11PM on Tuesday night, the Town of East Greenbush Emergency Communication Center received multiple calls reporting a vehicle fire at 24 Neptune Street in Prospect Heights. Several callers reported that they were at least 2 other vehicles and a house being endangered by the fire. Upon the immediate arrival of Car’s 1 & 2, they found a 4-door sedan, fully involved in fire and a full box was transmitted for the incident. Engine Co. 8-5 arrived shortly thereafter and crews made quick work of the vehicle with the assist of Truck Co. 8 & Engine Co. 8-7. In all about 20 members responded, staffing 4 pieces of apparatus and were managed by three chiefs. There was no damage to either vehicle endangered as well as the residence. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
