ENGINE 8-5

ENGINE 8-5 is a 2003 Pierce Enforcer capable of seating six personnel. Additionally, there is a 1500 Waterous Pump; a 1000 gallon water tank, 25 gallon class “A” and 45 gallon class “B” bladders, through a Pierce Husky Foam System. This engine has Engine-Rescue compartmentation and 6000 Watt Wil-Burt Nightscan light tower. 8-5 carries a wide variety of rescue and fire equipment, including a MSA Evolution 4000 thermal imaging camera. Engine Company 8-5 is first due to structure fires, auto accidents, mutual aid, and for all FAST assignments. Engine Company 8-5 was put into service in mid-April.


ENGINE 8-6

ENGINE 8-6 is a 1982 Pierce Arrow, capable of carrying six firefighters, it can pump 1,000 gallons per minute, has 1000 gallons tank and holds 2,000 feet of 3” supply line. 8-6 is third due to all structure fires, first due to mutual aid tanker fires, and handles all brush, trash, and nuisance calls.  


ENGINE 8-7

ENGINE 8-7 is a 1992 Pierce Lance, capable of carrying ten firefighters, it can pump 1,250 gallons per minute, has 1000 gallons of water and holds 2,000 feet of 3” supply line. In traditional sense, 8-7 can be considered a squad, and capable of acting as a truck or a rescue company. 8-7 is second due to all structure fires, car fires, and first due to all technical and ice rescues.


TRUCK 8

TRUCK 8 is a 1998 Pierce Quantum 105’ Heavy Duty Ladder, with all wheel steer. The truck carries a 200 feet of ground ladders and a full complement of ventilation equipment. Additionally Truck 8 has a MSA Evolution 4000 thermal imaging camera. Truck 8 responds on all structure fires, alarm system activations, and technical and ice rescues.


RESCUE 8

RESCUE 8 is a 1989 International/American Eagle Rescue, with seating for eight personnel. As the departments only rescue company, Rescue 8 is responsible for handling all extrications, technical and ice rescues, Rescue 8 carries four cold water suits, with all of the accessories to effect a water rescue. In addition to being a rescue company, the unit also provides support for all fire calls and FAST assignments with 37 spare SCBA bottles, an on board cascade systems, Holmatro hydraulic rescue tools, a rehabilitation area, and a command center. 


SUPPORT VEHICLES

SUPPORT VEHICLES The department maintains a fleet of support vehicles to be used by the department officers as response vehicles. The vehicles are capable of responding with EMS, Fire, and Rescue equipment. Each vehicle has a full complement of extinguishers, reference material, and command equipment.
